So where do I start about us? Well, we are a married couple who have a huge heart for animals and children.

Growing up in our families we always had animals from dogs, fish, cats, hamsters and a tortoise.

The business started by myself 'Hayley'. I always wanted to work with dogs and children. So firstly, I gained high qualifications in childcare, during this time I had my two children.

Then in 2020 we moved to St Ives and that is where I created 'Hayley's Active Paws and stays!'

After doing research and talking to the local community I found that there is gap for my business dream! Amazing!

Since moving here in late August 2020, I started to put together a business plan and became a member of NARPsUK where I was able to complete a course on Pet sitting, dog walking business course including canine & feline first aid in which time I have the necessary paperwork, welcome packs and adapted my house and garden to meet local authority guidelines.

In 2024 my husband (Nick) joined my business and together we are proud to maintain five stars from the animal welfare team. We have lots of exciting changes coming in the next 12 months for the business and look forward to sharing this with our current loyal clients and new ones to join us.

Nick is excited to be fulfilling his dream of working with with dogs and animals. He is DBS checked and has completed various NARPs courses including canine first aid.
